Product Sheet

The Eclipse conference phone will change your perception of conference phones. Eclipse provides you with a clear and natural sound picture. And not only is our product remarkable in regard to sound quality, but it also provides you with a number of unique features compared to other telephone products on the market.

Eclipse is a flexible teleconference concept that easily can be expanded as required by room size and number of participants. The main unit connects to you regular telephone, and converts it into an outstanding conference phone. And you can still use your regular phone the way you are used to, or even switch back and forth to conference mode during the conversation. Using Eclipse, you are able to telephone - hands free. You may take notes, work on your PC and even move around in the room while confidently carrying on the conversation. The sensitive microphone circuitry adapts automatically to the acoustic requirements – from near or remote corners of the room.

Eclipse can be expanded as required simply by adding satellite units. These units distribute the sound evenly in larger rooms and also offer the advantage of each person being closer to the microphone. There is no longer a need for raising the voice heard.

The satellite units are cordless and have no cables spread across tables or floor. Gemini Communication has implemented this flexible concept by applying a unique infrared voice link. Sound is converted to infrared light and then converted back to sound. One of the special properties of this IR technology is that the entire room is flooded with the invisible light and that the units work just as well on reflections as direct light. This is a much more sophisticated technology than what you are used to in regular remote control units! The advantage is quite apparent. Users can move about in the room without disturbing the transmission. There is no health hazard related to infrared light, as it contains no components of ultraviolet light.

You keep your current telephone with Eclipse as it simply connects to the headset outlet on your phone. Should your phone not have such an outlet, an external branch box can be added to switch between the handset and Eclipse. Naturally, you can also connect Eclipse to your ISDN, IP or system phone as well as mobile phones (GSM and wireless phones (DECT).

With the remote control you can for instance adjust the volume and bass/treble, mute the microphone and temporarily block transmission to satellites.

Eclipses footprint is so small that you easily will find a spot for it next to your telephone. The product is suitable for everyone having an office and depends heavily on using a phone at work. Does your office include a conference section as depicted below, then Eclipse with one or two satellite units is a sure hit.

Eclipse converts your regular telephone into an outstanding conference phone, using state-of-the-art echo cancelling technology. This gives you a clear and natural sound picture – close to what you experience when using your regular phone. Using Eclipse, both parties can talk and listen at the same time – handsfree - a feature very delicate to implement in loudspeaking phones.

With regular loudspeaking phones, only one party can speak or listen at the time, as the sound path is only open in one direction or the other, determined by who speaks the loudest. This relatively simple technology is referred to as half duplex and used only when you have no other choices. Full duplex means keeping both the transmit and receive channels open at the same time allowing both parties to speak and listen simultaneously. This is achieved by use of advanced echo cancelling technology. This and other technologies make Eclipse a superb and unique product.
